US Spirit Week & Homecoming
Harvey Upper School Students:
We are looking forward to Spirit Week and Homecoming next week! We have a number of activities planned to support our athletic teams and to express our pride for Harvey.
On Friday, October 14, the Student Council will host the annual Homecoming Dance in the Lasdon Theater. Please note the following expectations:
- Your Student Government Representatives request that you attend the dance Dressed to Impress. There are no entry fees for the dance.
- Please arrive on time and arrange to be picked up by 9 p.m. The dance starts at 7 p.m.
- Please note that you are required to check your backpacks and bags at the door and will not be able to access them during the dance until you leave for the evening.
- Once you leave the dance, you must leave for the evening. Students will not be allowed to re-enter. You must leave campus after you exit.
- You may carry cell phones, but must observe all school technology use rules.
- School appropriate behavior is expected during the dance.
- Only Harvey students can attend the dance. Outside guests will not be admitted.
The week leading up to Homecoming Weekend is Spirit Week. Beginning Tuesday, October 11, Upper School students will be able to participate in the following ways:
Tuesday, October 11 - Pink Out and ‘Anything But A Backpack’ Day
- All students will have on something pink for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month
- Bring in something unique to carry your daily necessities. Whatever you choose should be within reason; nothing that blocks a passageway or gets in the way of learning.
Wednesday, October 12 - Harvey Spirit Day
- Wear your Harvey shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories.
Thursday, October 13 - Celebrates the ‘80s and the 2000s
- Wear the clothing and styles from these iconic decades.
Friday, October 14 - Color Wars
Wear your class color:
- Class of 2026 - Green
- Class of 2025 - Red
- Class of 2024 - Purple
- Class of 2023 - Blue
The week will be Relaxed Dress, but in the spirit of respect for our academic community. We trust that you will celebrate and maintain scholarship, school decorum, and safety.
