National Influenza Vaccination Week
National Influenza Vaccination Week
National Influenza Vaccination Week is December 5-9. This week serves to remind everyone 6 months and older that there's still time to protect themselves and their loved ones from the flu this season by getting their annual flu vaccine if they have not done so already. Currently, flu activity is elevated across the country.
Anyone experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms should:
- Stay home from school until fever free for 24 hours and symptoms improve
- Test negative for COVID-19 before returning to campus
- Wear a mask if symptoms persist
Anyone at school with symptoms of respiratory or gastrointestinal infections, such as cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting, or diarrhea will be sent home and should follow the steps above.
