Middle School Dress Code
Middle School Dress Code
The Middle School supports an appropriate Dress Code that students and families are expected to approach with a spirit of cooperation. Students are expected to arrive on campus dressed appropriately and remain in dress code throughout the day.
All clothing must be neat, clean, properly sized, and in good repair. Clothing should be free of frays, rips, or stains. Hats, scarves, sunglasses, and coats may not be worn indoors. Baseball caps may not be worn at any time during the academic day, indoors or outdoors. Additionally, clothing that exposes the midriff, shoulder, lower back, upper thigh, and/or cleavage is prohibited.
The standards of the dress code are as follows:
- Clothing must not be revealing and pants must be worn at the natural waistline and be of an appropriate length (at least fingertips extended).
- No blue jeans or cut off shorts.
- Shirts must have an appropriate neckline.
- No strapless, spaghetti strap, tank tops, or sheer garments are permitted.
- Sneakers are strongly encouraged. High heeled shoes, sandals, flip-flops, slippers, and open-toed shoes are not permitted.
- No pajamas.
- No large graphics or writing on either the front or back of shirts and sweatshirts.
- Clothing should not promote or endorse alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or other illegal/violent activities.
- Harvey spirit wear is encouraged.
