The English department is currently in the process of making departmental selections for Honors and AP classes. Selections for Honors and AP classes are based on teacher recommendations, student interest, and an analytical writing assessment.

Here is an overview of the electives offered this fall in Harvey Middle School. Electives are offered on a trimester basis and students may switch electives following each trimester.
At Harvey, we offer in-person lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, and some string and brass instruments. Lessons are held once a week during a student’s assigned study hall or free period. Here's how to sign up!

You can now access the Harvey Portal where you can access sensitive information such as your child’s grades, homework, student schedules (available in September), and class directories. Accessing the private portal require a login unique to you and your student.
The Harvey Performing Arts Department sponsors choral and instrumental programs for students in grades six through eight. All Middle School students are invited to participate. Students can participate in one or both of these musical groups without sacrificing other exploratory elective options and study hall time during the academic week.
