Parent Association

Get to know a myriad of parents/guardians within your child's grade, while also mingling with numerous volunteers, all by spearheading the connection among fellow parents and guardians. Unleash your creativity to cultivate a unified class atmosphere! As a class parent, you'll take charge of orchestrating two social gatherings throughout the academic year, for which you'll  be allocated a budget. Your role could also involve arranging other parent/guardian events such as casual coffees or walks - all designed for parental enjoyment. Additionally, class parents should take an active role in encouraging fellow parents/guardians within their grade level to get involved in the PA. This serves as an exceptional opportunity to expand your social circle and dip your toes into a leadership role, with unwavering support always at hand from the PA at large.

Work with the PA President(s) and administration to identify, research, and implement an assortment of guest speakers or fun programs to inform, entertain, and be meaningful to the Harvey parent/guardian community throughout the year. In the past, events have included trivia nights, WinterFest, guest chef demonstrations, author discussions, painting classes, virtual tours, and lots more. This is a sporadic year-long commitment. The PA typically plans two to four events a year.

Our Faculty and Staff Appreciation Committee helps plan luncheons (two per year - winter and spring) and a variety of breakfasts, treats, and small gifts to honor our educators and staff throughout the year. Your involvement fosters a culture of appreciation and support for those who do so much for our students. A small team serving as this committee can efficiently divide tasks, thus making planning more manageable and the time commitment less.
