Harvey Fund

Moving Our Mission Forward

Harvey Fund logo

The Harvey Fund supports our school's highest priorities, including academic excellence, faculty development, financial aid, experiential learning, and more. It allows the school to act on unique opportunities as they arise - opportunities that are not covered by tuition alone. Your contributions make every day extraordinary and sustain the hallmarks of a Harvey education, including small class sizes, exceptional faculty, and programs that empower our students to achieve their full potential.

HOW DO I GIVE?

Your gift to the Harvey Fund supports our most immediate funding needs each year, including teacher salaries, financial aid, and student programs. All gifts are spent within the year they are given.

Here are the ways to give:

  • Unrestricted gift to the Harvey Fund
  • Restricted gift for a specific program
  • 8th Grade Gift or 12th Grade Senior Class Gift
  • Week of Giving during the winter
  • Our Annual Spring Celebration event every spring

STEM

More than just Bunsen burners and the periodic table, at Harvey, STEM is a hands-on, collaborative learning experience. Our innovative and immersive Science Trajectories program inspires a genuine passion for the sciences, while our world-renowned Robotics program provides unparalleled opportunities for students to excel in engineering, computer science, coding, and design fields.

The Humanities

At Harvey, small class sizes and dedicated educators ensure that students are able to find their voice and learn to use it on their educational journey.  From our many Innovative Programs such as our annual speech and poetry contests, to our Japanese Language program, we continue to develop new opportunities for our students.

Financial Aid

With your help, we can ensure that a Harvey education remains accessible to all students regardless of their financial circumstances. 36% of our student body receives financial aid, totaling around $3.7 million in tuition reduction. By supporting the Harvey Fund, you help us continue offering generous financial assistance while providing exceptional learning opportunities.

The Arts

Harvey's diverse arts program allows students the freedom and opportunity to express themselves creatively. We believe that the arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and math, allowing students to develop a cultural literacy that fosters imagination, creativity, and the ability to solve complex problems. The Walker Center for the Arts is home to our many annual theater productions and performances, ceramics, graphic design, media production, photography, music, chorus, dance, and more.

Athletics

Guided by the principles of the Positive Coaching Alliance, our athletic program provides exceptional opportunities for students at all levels of competition. Our student-athletes compete with some of the best schools in the region, winning eight league championships in 2023-2024. Evarts Rink, home to our hockey program, is open to Harvey students as well as the greater community year-round.

WHY I GIVE TO THE HARVEY FUND

The Singh Family

Saloni and Sandip Singh

P'25

It is an easy choice to support Harvey because it is a place where students thrive. We value the close-knit community and rigorous academic program infused with compassion and understanding.

Comerford Family

Rob Comerford and Russell Lawrence

P'27

We give to the Harvey Fund because Harvey's environment encourages students to nurture their existing interests, step out of their comfort zones to explore new ones, and develop a curiosity about and appreciation for the world they live in. Seeing Ben become his own person during his time at Harvey has brought us immense joy. This joy was amplified when we realized that all three of us were also becoming part of an incredibly vibrant community among the faculty, students, and parents.

The Weiting Family

Maggie and Steven Wieting

P'27

Harvey was here before us and will be here long after our son, Sullivan, graduates. It is vital to support that continuity and help its mission to create infinite possibilities for students to reach their highest potential.

The Schneider-Altman Family

Lisa Schneider and Steven Altman '87

P'24

Harvey has been part of our family's story for a long time. This school helped me become the best version of myself, and in turn, helped our son, Joseph, find his strengths and equipped him with the skills and habits necessary for college and beyond.

The Pugliese Sisters

Alex Pugliese '07 and Nikki Pugliese '12

It's important to our family that we "pay it forward," so other families and students can have the same education, experience, and opportunities that we were provided. Harvey is more than a school; it's a family, and our whole family feels a strong commitment to aiding the next generation of Harvey students and families.
