Model United Nations
The Harvey Model United Nations team prepares for and competes in two national Model UN conferences each year. In practices, students develop the art of public speaking and persuasive rhetoric through speech drills while also learning how to research and create solutions to complex issues.
During the four-day Model UN competitions hosted by colleges such as Columbia and Georgetown universities, students participate in simulated committees convened to solve real-world and historical problems. Students test their understanding of policy issues and their ability to work with others to create support for their solutions while developing the skills to become competent and confident leaders in the global community.
