Upper SchoolThe Harvey Upper School program prepares students for college and challenges them to reach beyond their perceived levels of ability. The atmosphere is structured but informal, and students are expected to take increasing responsibility for their academic progress. Harvey teaches students how to learn and work independently. Students take a minimum of six courses each trimester. Harvey’s faculty members are committed to helping students achieve success and known for making themselves available to provide extra help to students. Study halls, free periods and meal times are often used for one-on-one or small-group help sessions for students. Offering review sessions before final exams is a regular feature of most classes. Faculty support is an aspect of academic life that results in students achieving to their potential.
