Harvey Presents is an entertainment and educational series designed to bring quality programming to The Harvey School’s campus for the surrounding community to enjoy. All performances are held in Harvey’s state-of-the-art venue, The Walker Center for the Arts, and feature acts from the worlds of music, comedy, sports, movies, television, literature, pop culture, and more.
Vinny Alexander, the Director of Harvey’s Performing Arts program, selects programming that will be interesting and entertaining for all ages and which would not typically appear in a local venue. Harvey Presents is often an interview format. The inaugural Harvey Presents show featured Headmaster Barry Fenstermacher interviewing Regis Philbin. Other events featured stage and film star Harvey Fierstein with interviewer Pat Collins and New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi with NBC sportscaster Jimmy Roberts, who returned the following year to interview syndicated columnist and novelist Mike Lupica. There were also concerts -- Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famers, singer/songwriter, Art Garfunkel and Richie Furay of Buffalo Springfield and Poco, 1960s groundbreaking progressive rock music group, Vanilla Fudge and Beatles tribute band, Hey Jude. David Letterman, with musical sidekick Paul Shaffer, reunited for the first time since the late night talk show host retired, right here on the Harvey Presents stage.
The best nights out are at Harvey Presents.
