The Robotics Class
Introduced in the fall of 2014, this course is designed to explore current and future uses of automation technology. Students receive a comprehensive overview of the robotics systems and their subsystems. The course consists of lectures and hands-on components covering principles of engineering, physics, electronics, mechanics and computer programming.
Included in this class is participation in weekend robotics competitions and in the spring of 2015, the robotics team took first place at the B.E.S.T. New Rochelle tournament - this was only their second tournament of the year. The team went on to finish second at the Southern New York State Championship.
