Cornerstone Campaign

The Weil House & Barn renovation campaign has grown into the Cornerstone Campaign, which approaches four pressing capital renovations from the standpoint of building community and supporting student experience. We have currently raised over $4.4 million toward our $6 million philanthropic goal for the Cornerstone Campaign.

Weil House & Barn

Renovations to the Weil House & Barn provide additional space for students and alumni to gather, make possible the shift of administrative offices from Sylvan Hall, and provide an impressive first impression of Harvey that is a true reflection of our excellence.

  • The historical barn will become a multi-purpose space for special campus activities, alumni gatherings, and alternative learning opportunities for both Middle and Upper School students.
  • The barn will be home to programs important to the School, such as the Student Ambassador Program as well as a proposed alumni/student mentorship program.
  • The Weil House & Barn Complex will provide indoor bathroom and kitchen facilities that can be used during athletic events and Homecoming.

Laying the cornerstone

Make your gift today

This project will enable us to maximize our resources and offer the best possible learning environment for our students and teachers, and provide important gathering spaces for our community.

With your support of this project, you can be proud to add your name to all who have gone before you to keep Harvey perpetually improving.

Sylvan Hall

Sylvan Hall has been updated and transformed from administrative offices into a hub for Upper School students, creating more classroom space and unifying support services that were formerly scattered across campus.

Sylvan now houses:

  • Upper School Dean of Students
  • School Counselor
  • Learning Specialists
  • College Counseling
  • Two new upper school classrooms
  • Two new gender-neutral bathrooms

Krasne Middle School

The Lower Level of Krasne Middle School, formerly "dead space," will be fully renovated, becoming a place for community meetings, and academic and extracurricular activities.

  • There has, until now, been no space at the Middle School large enough to accommodate school-wide meetings, cross-curricular courses, or after-school activities.
  • The Lower Level has been designed as "flex space," so that it can be used for many different purposes, such as a study hall, assembly area, or theater.

O'malley and Stafford Dormitories

Built in 1958, the dormitories have benefitted from cosmetic updates but are simply not up to current Harvey standards. Over the next two summers, we will address deferred maintenance and make necessary improvements to both buildings, including:

  • Replacement of roofs, windows, doors, and flooring
  • Electrical rewiring to accommodate current use
  • Bathroom renovations, including plumbing
  • Updating of dorm furniture

The dormitories make our thriving international program possible. This program brings diverse perspectives and cultures to our campus, enriching the learning environment for all students. Our five-day boarding program is full for the third year in a row, including 25 international students from eight different countries.
