Middle School Summer Camps & Sports Camps

2024 Sports Camp Program

Grades 5-8

Campers will focus on a number of athletic skills and games. With a multitude of classes each week, campers will participate in games like softball, Gaga, basketball, tennis, soccer, and a variety of field games. Skill building and the thrill of playing is stressed. Games are non-competitive.

To broaden their experience, campers will take electives outside of sports as well as participate in games and camp-wide events. While it is important to pursue individual passions, the electives will give campers a chance to try something new. Exploration sparks new passions.

The six-week session is $4,770. Please refer to our fee schedule below for weekly options.
All registrations include a T-shirt and lunch in our dining hall.
Siblings receive a 5% discount (automatically applied at checkout)

Class Offerings

Classes may be adjusted for age-appropriateness. Changes to the schedule may be made at our discretion due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, enrollment, and staff availability.

Meet The Director

Vinny Alexander has over 25 years of experience in education and is a certified NYS elementary school teacher, high school English teacher, and principal. He has taught for BOCES, Marist College, Mercy College, Dutchess Community College, and Mahopac High School. Vinny currently chairs the Performing Arts Department at The Harvey School, where he also directs our summer camp program.

Vinny has been with The Harvey Summer Camp for the last 25 years. He has over 40 years experience in summer camp programs serving as a counselor, lifeguard, theater specialist, camp medical director, and camp director.
