The Harvey Summer Camp offers programs that appeal to most passions. Young people can spend their summer participating in activities like sports, art, theater, music, circus arts, science, and robotics in a safe and nurturing environment. Our program concentrations in art, sports, dance, and performance allow campers in grades 2 through 9 to explore the depths and dimensions of each discipline. First graders enjoy a variety of the Harvey Camp’s most popular classes, familiarizing them with all the camp offerings.

 

Our Elective Offerings allow campers to try activities outside of their concentration. Students in performance can take classes in art or try their hand at a new sport. While it is important to pursue individual passions, campers have a chance to try something new. Exploration sparks new passions.

 

The teaching staff at The Harvey Camp are professional educators and artists. Under the auspices of The Harvey School, the camp operates in conjunction with the school’s educational mission which gives learners the power to exercise their individual strengths and skills in the classroom. Our teaching staff is committed to this mission and encourages campers to explore, imagine, play, and create.

 

The Harvey School runs the camp and employs leaders and teachers who are part of the local community. Unlike other area camps that are corporate-owned and operated, the bottom line of our program is to provide fun and educational experiences to our campers.

 

Learning in camps takes place in an ‘unadulterated classroom.’ Imagine being able to learn without the pressures of time, testing, and a standardized curriculum.

 

The Harvey Camp takes place on the 125-acre rural campus of The Harvey School. With a three-court athletic center, an art center complete with a unique black box theater, an ice rink, wooded trails, studio spaces, cafeteria, and swimming pool, Harvey offers countless opportunities to explore indoor and outdoor activities. Rainy days never dampen Harvey summer fun!

 

Because campers are grouped according to their passions and interests, lifelong friendships and creative partnerships emerge.

 

Join us for up to eight weeks of summer fun and activity or simply just come for one week. Our summer program is flexible and designed to accommodate family vacation time and other summer commitments.
