Three Harvey athletes have earned recognition from the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) on the heels of the trio’s fine performances at the NEPSTA Division IV Championships held Saturday, Nov. 8 on the University of Maine’s campus in Augusta.

Ninth grader Ally Zimmerman placed No.5 out of 123 runners at the NEPSAC race in a time of 21 minutes, 15 seconds. Harvey’s top runner was selected All-NEPSAC.

Eighth grader Ella Adler, who finished 25th in 23:56, was awarded All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention honors, and sophomore Lilah Groff, who came in 27th place in a time of 23:56, also earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention recognition.

Harvey cross country coach Christian Coscio was impressed with how well the girls did in light of the fact that they ran in their third meet in six days. Coach Coscio said, “Racing that many times in a week was an unfortunate necessity due to a weather-related cancellation, but the girls really rose to the occasion. Not once did they complain, but instead, they got to work and did whatever they could to put themselves in a position to succeed. The results speak for themselves. We are so proud of their efforts this week and their efforts and those of the rest of the team as a whole this year.”

Among the boys, sophomore Sebastian Swindell was Harvey’s top finisher. He came in at No. 83 in a time of 21:49. Harvey’s boys placed 19th out of 22 teams.
