Harvey’s middle school volleyball team defeated School of the Holy Child 2-0 Tuesday, Sept. 24, in their first match of the season in Rye, New York.

Harvey held off Holy Child, 25-16, in the first set, with a strong performance by O'Launi Ebanks as she perfectly served each ball. Eventually, the Cavs achieved yet another 25-16 victory in the second set to give Harvey the match win. Sam Roberts helped the team earn more than five points in the second set with her strong serving skills.

Coach Michelle Menacho was pleased with her team’s play. “The girls had some impressive serves, and the Cavs are very excited for their upcoming games," Coach Menacho said. The coach was also delighted with the team’s spirit. “All throughout the game, the Harvey players sitting on the sidelines were constantly cheering on their teammates on the court,” the coach said.
