JV Reds Drop Second Straight
After winning their first three games of the season, Harvey’s JV boys red team has hit a bump in the road. The Harvey boys lost 52-28 Wednesday, Dec. 19, to King School in Stamford, Connecticut.
For most of the game, Harvey was able to stay within 12 or 14 points, but King’s pressure defense forced a number of Harvey turnovers and kept the Cavs from getting into a rhythm offensively. With about six minutes left in the game, King dominated play and opened up a large lead that kept Harvey from any chance of a comeback.
Aaron Shyer, Sam Alexander and Lucas Cohen each had six points for Harvey. Jayden Kass had four points and Charlie Hildebrandt and Patrick Murphy each had three.
Cohen led the team with eight rebounds and had three blocked shots.
With the loss, the Harvey JV Reds drop to 3-2. They will look to bounce back and get back in the win column once they return from winter break.
