MS Soccer Falls Short in Road Loss
The Harvey Middle School soccer team hit the road Thursday, Oct. 7, to play Windward in White Plains for their third match of the season, but the young Cavs came home on the short end of a 7-2 score.
Harvey fell behind early against the Vikings of Windward but fought back with two goals in the second half. The first Harvey strike was compliments of the strong foot of seventh grader Daniel Lehman courtesy of a penalty kick. Theo Yanni electrified the traveling Harvey fans with a sweet touch for the second Cavalier goal.
“The Cavaliers were more disciplined when it came to their field assignments this week and displayed crisp passing which had been absent up to this point,” said Harvey coach Michael Fink.
The Cavaliers (0-3) will look to get into the win column Thursday, Oct. 14, when they return to the friendly fields off Jay Street to face the French-American School of New York.
