Capstone Service Projects
Our 8th Grade Capstone Initiative is more than just a project—it’s a journey in service and leadership that empowers students to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Through this initiative, students explore the principles of service, leadership, and global citizenship, learning how individuals can create positive change. Each student chooses a cause they are passionate about, researches its challenges, and takes action within their community.
Our students participated in community
service with many organizations:
- Addressing food insecurity through donations and meal preparation
- Supporting animal shelters with supply drives and volunteer work
- Bringing joy through music by performing for those in need during the holidays
- Helping local food pantries stock essential supplies
- Participating in "A Night to Shine"—a prom for individuals with disabilities
- Leading sustainability initiatives, such as "Leave No Trace" projects
- Organizing sock drives and sports-themed service events to support various causes
And many others!
What Did I Learn?
The Capstone Initiative challenges students to think globally while acting locally, fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion. Their dedication to service is an inspiring reminder that small actions can create a big impact.
