About eHarvey

How did eHarvey start?

In the summer of 2006, The Harvey School piloted its first online summer school session. We started with a small group of students, one exceptional teacher, and the best technology available. Today, we are in our 11th year of providing a quality summer school curriculum to our own school community and students across the country.

What makes Harvey different from other online schools?

There are many online schools out there, but Harvey is different. We have taken the best of both worlds: the flexibility provided by cutting-edge technology and the support provided by a caring exceptional teacher.

Other online schools only allow students to communicate with their teachers through email, blogging, forums, and chat. Imagine trying to learn a complex mathematical solution through a chat?

Harvey's online school has a virtual classroom with a whiteboard, chat, and audio to offer students a truly interactive classroom experience from the comfort of their homes, or anywhere else there is an internet connection!

How does eHarvey work?

Our online school combines two different technologies to provide the most robust, flexible, and supportive online learning experience available:

  • an online curriculum that provides an interactive learning experience with animations, text, audio, assignments, glossaries, and assessments where the results are fed back to the teacher
  • an online classroom where students meet in real time with their teacher and other classmates for review sessions, extra help, and guidance

eHarvey offers a wide variety of courses covering all core subject areas and many electives. Many of the courses are delivered as foundation courses which are recommended for students in transition from middle school to high school. Many AP courses are available as well, making the academic options flexible enough to cater to individual student needs.

eHarvey uses digital course content provided by Apex Learning.
