Weil House & Barn Complex
Transforming Campus as We Transform Lives.
At The Harvey School we pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming community. From the moment you walk on campus, you feel a strong sense of inclusiveness and belonging. The WH&BC project builds on this core value by providing the opportunity for our physical structures to reflect this belief. When renovated, these two Tier 1 historic buildings will create a beautiful arrival point where everyone feels at home.
Help Us Raise The Barn!
Traditionally, a barn raising fulfills a practical need and also serves to bring a community together.
The entire Harvey community will be needed to make this dream a reality for our students and school. We have raised over $700,000 in cash and pledges so far!
We are grateful to our early contributors:

Reflecting Our Way of Life.
The Weil House will be transformed into a welcoming stop for all families and visitors when they arrive on campus, providing administrative office space for the Admissions, Development and Business offices. Here our alumni will find a natural arrival point for us to welcome them back to campus.
The Harvey community is a vibrant, warm, and welcoming group of people, and what better way to reflect our values than creating space at the entrance to campus for all to enjoy. These new facilities will be a welcoming first stop, allowing visitors to feel at home from the moment they arrive on campus.
This renovation offers an exciting opportunity to add new multipurpose space for community events, special campus celebrations, and alumni gatherings. Here you will see alternative classrooms and activity space, new athletic offerings like fencing or martial arts, and possibly a simple kitchen, concession area, and bathroom facilities.
Meet the Architect.
We are happy to announce that Robert Siegel Architects has been selected for the WH&BC project. We are confident that the firm, having won more than 30 design awards, will transform these buildings into much needed space while retaining their place in The Harvey School's long history.
Robert Siegel is an award-winning architect known for his innovative work and expertise in designing complex, sustainable, and secure facilities in the U.S. and abroad. He received a 2016 American Institute of Architects Honor Award for the US Land Port of Entry in Van Buren, Maine, a GSA Design and Construction Excellence project.
Robert is also a Katonah resident and Harvey parent who understands the essence of our community and brings enthusiasm and heart to this vital project.
Innovative Thinking Toward the Future.
"Right now, our faculty and staff resources are huge and the buildings just don't quite match that. Moving staff and administration down to the WH&BC opens up space for students. It makes the best use of the space we have and provides a beautiful, welcoming entry point to the campus to get people up the hill and dive deeper into what's here."

Bridging the Facilities Gap.
The Weil Barn will be transformed into a space where students will find alternative classroom space, new athletic offerings, and room to hold class events. Conveniently located near our playing fields, our student-athletes, coaches, families, and spectators can enjoy bathroom facilities and a concession area for all home games.
The WH&BC opens the door for additional academic space and opportunities throughout campus. This project continues the process of matching our facilities with our extraordinary programs and faculty to showcase all we have to offer students and their families.
The WH&BC will provide a comfortable space for Harvey alumni to come back to campus, catch up with old friends, and hold alumni events throughout the year. Being on campus allows for more interactions with former faculty and staff, and allows us to better host alums when they visit.
