We welcomed the season with our annual Spring Band Concert on the evening of April 29, when a rich tapestry of instruments blended in melodious harmony, filling Lasdon Theater with music.
The Middle School Band, under the direction of music teacher Michelle Davies, performed a diverse program which included “A Knight’s Tale” by Carl Strommen, “Bad Habits” by Ed Sheeran, and “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. Each piece was expertly arranged by Ms. Davies to complement the abilities of the students who delivered with energy and precision.
Ms. Davies also conducted the Upper School Band, which presented an impressive set of 11 selections. The program featured works by Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Nirvana, and Billy Joel, including an original composition by junior Jordan Feigenbaum, titled “The Tide.”
