SpeakWell Basketball Camp with John Wallace

The Harvey School was thrilled to once again partner with the award-winning after-school program, SpeakWell, from Nov.15-17. One of the two SpeakWell programs offered was the John Wallace Basketball Camp, instructed by retired NBA player, former NY Knick and SpeakWell role model John Wallace. Students took their individual game to the next level by participating in ball-handling, scoring, and conditioning drills.

Students gravitate to John Wallace, known as the “Beast of the Big East” at Syracuse University and a first-round draft pick for the Knicks. Campers not only work on their basketball skills, but also learn leadership, growth mindset, speaking, confidence, and focus skills taught by international speaker and SpeakWell founder, Patty Kennedy.

The three-day program also helped students prepare for the upcoming basketball season at Harvey.
