The Harvey Robotics 2024-2025 season is off to a great start! Two Harvey Robotics teams, 6277C and 6277B, traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, last weekend to compete in the prestigious Speedway Signature Robotics Tournament, held at the iconic home of the Indianapolis 500. Both teams delivered outstanding performances.

Team 6277B, consisting of Dan Wood '25, Jack Zimmerman '27, and Logan Alexander '25 (who was unable to attend), competed fiercely over two days of qualification matches. They advanced to the playoffs, where they narrowly missed advancing beyond the round of 16. Coach Chris Kelly praised the team's efforts, saying, “It was an incredible performance by Dan and Jack. Their robot was under serious consideration for the Build Award as well. The judges and other coaches repeatedly visited their pit to inquire about their construction techniques — several even took pictures to share with their teams for inspiration.”

Team 6277C, made up of Meaghan Sullivan '25, Ryan Dey '26, and Sara Strnad '26, also shone brightly, earning the prestigious Create Award during the closing ceremonies. This honor recognizes teams that demonstrate innovative and ambitious solutions to the game challenge while collaborating effectively to design and strategize their robot.

Reflecting on the event, Coach Kelly shared, “It was a great trip, and the kids learned so much. I am incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”

Congratulations to both teams for representing Harvey with creativity, skill, and teamwork!
