Students builing a molecule in chemistry

Harvey School News

Harvey's Upper School Model UN team traveled to New Haven, Connecticut, Jan. 19-22 to attend the 49th iteration of Yale Model United Nations. It was a return to an in-person format on the Yale University campus.

During the four day event, the delegates addressed issues ranging from Cyber Security to Global Healthcare Systems. Outside from committee sessions where they passed dozens of resolutions, the attendees also had an opportunity to learn from Yale students in interactive workshops.

"Our students competed over four days and were able to walk among the current students in the halls of Yale University," said Ms. Falcon, Harvey Model UN advisor and history department chair. "All of our students performed well and were able to exercise their networking skills with students from around the world," Ms. Falcon said. "It was a very successful trip," she added.

Competing for Harvey were MUN members Zach Anisman '23, Erica Freedman '23, Emma Galgano '23, Daniel Gittleman '23, Bennet Katzin '23, Annissa Khanna '24, and Julian van den Tol '23. Ms. M. Menacho also served as a chaperone and advisor.

Harvey's Model UN members are excited to attend the upcoming NAIMUN conference in Washington, D.C. this February.
