Our junior class took their study of "The Great Gatsby" beyond the classroom April 30 by hosting an immersive Gatsby-themed lunch event inspired by the iconic novel.

Originally planned as an outdoor gathering, the celebration moved indoors to the athletic center when rain arrived on campus. But the students transformed the gym into a glamorous, Jay Gatsby-style invite-only party reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties.

Students arrived dressed in themed attire that captured the spirit and fashion of the era while enjoying lunch, mocktails, music, and classic lawn games including croquet and lawn bowling. The event gave students the opportunity to step into the world of the novel while exploring its themes, setting, and culture in a creative and interactive way.

The themed experience allowed students to deepen their understanding of the novel through hands-on learning and collaboration, turning literature into a memorable real-world experience.
