Grades 6 & 7 Visit Historic Huguenot Street
Harvey sixth and seventh graders had the opportunity Nov. 18 to take their early American studies out of the classroom and walk back in time by visiting historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz, New York. The students participated in a program called "One Street, Many Stories" which follows the histories of some of the original settlers of New York, as well as the Native Americans who already lived there.
After the program, students enjoyed lunch and discussed what they had learned. It was a beautiful day to take learning on the road!
