We are excited for the upcoming fall Upper School musical production of “Beauty and the Beast.” The show is cast and rehearsals are underway. New Harvey dance teacher Leighann Kowalsky has jumped right in and is busy choreographing the show with the students. Ms. Kowalsky also invited guest choreographer Jamie Trial to spend three days with the cast to teach “Gaston” to our musical students.
Jamie has an MFA in choreography and a bachelor’s degree in dance with a ballet concentration. With 14 years of experience as an instructor and choreographer at Reinhardt University, along with her choreography featured in Atlanta’s Dance Canvas, American College Dance Festival, and other dance shows, our students are in good hands. Jamie has also performed professionally as Cassandra in "CATS" and in ensemble roles in Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s "The Producers" and "Chicago."
Save the date for “Beauty and the Beast” -- Nov. 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. in Lasdon Theater. “Beauty and the Beast” is shaping up to be a showstopper!
