Our annual State of the School evening was held on Sept. 17 in The Walker Center for the Arts gallery with delicious food and beverages for those attending. The evening featured a unique "Movie Poster Gallery" featuring a stunning collection of original film posters generously gifted to alumnus Howard Baldwin '56 and his wife, Karen. Howard and Karen are renowned film producers. This display is a unique opportunity to celebrate their incredible contributions to the world of cinema and their continued generous support of the Harvey community.
During the presentation portion of the evening, Board of Trustees Chair Eileen Walker and Head of School Bill Knauer presented an overview of the school including enrollment, academics, finances, facility updates, improvements, and ongoing projects including the Weil House & Barn project at the entrance to campus.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Faculty Impact Award, a prestigious recognition that honors community members who embody the Harvey spirit, give selflessly to the school, and have a profound impact on the community. The 2024 Faculty Impact Award recipient, Susan Harris, a dedicated faculty member and Dean of 9th and 10th Grade, has made a significant difference in our community, and we are proud to celebrate her achievements.
