Actress Amy Hargreaves & SpeakWell Hold Acting Camp at Harvey

Harvey students were excited to participate Nov. 15-17 in an after-school acting camp taught by Amy Hargreaves, actress in such popular shows as "Homeland" and "13 Reasons Why," and a SpeakWell mentor. The Harvey School has partnered up once again with SpeakWell, an award-winning after-school program that promotes youth leadership and, through a structured curriculum, helps students build confidence, believe in themselves, support one another, learn speaking skills, and underscores life skills.

Students took to the stage to learn acting techniques, script analysis, character development, improvisation, as well as more advanced skills as working with an agent and public speaking and communication skills.

Through the love of acting, SpeakWell founder Patty Kennedy also helps students develop a positive mindset and overcome their fears.
