Eighth Grade Science Studies Microbiology
Brenda Wahlers, a medical lab technician at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, visited Mrs. Hajem's eighth grade science class to talk about what it takes to be a lab tech and show students some samples of bacterial plates. Students had the opportunity to do some gram staining - a technique that allows you to see bacteria under a microscope.
Mrs. Wahlers has 20 years experience "running the labs" on blood work, throat cultures, and nose swabs. We thank her for visiting campus and teaching our Middle School science students about microbiology.

It was a wonderful weather day as the morning sun peeked through the clouds just in time to shine on the procession of the Class of 2022 who made their way from the Quad into the Fenstermacher Athletic Center for Harvey’s Commencement ceremony June 9.
The Harvey School has named two members of the Class of 2022 as the top student-athletes of the spring term. Selected for their excellence in academics and for their outstanding contributions to their spring sports teams are Erin Phillips and Sam Alexander.
