Award-Winning Fantasy Art Illustrator Brings Process to Life

Our Upper School Honors Art Portfolio class was happy to virtually visit with award-winning fantasy art illustrator Scott Fischer and talk about all things art. Through our distance learning, students were able to virtually visit Mr. Fischer's studio and learn about his process as he conceives and creates his illustrations.

Mr. Fischer discussed his background, how he became a professional artist, and his work as an illustrator. He is also a gallery artist and a children's book illustrator who has many other artistic pursuits including work he is making for a chain of galleries and the development of an animated series for Cartoon Network that is currently in the works.

"The students were most enlightened by the depth of research and thought that goes into each piece and the variety of techniques Scott employs to make his work," said Harvey teacher Mr. Price.
