Middle School Showcase Takes On Hollywood
Harvey Middle School students took a theatrical stroll through some of the best Hollywood musicals of all time during the Middle School Showcase Friday, Feb. 8 in The Walker Center for the Arts. Students in grades 6-8 performed musical numbers from such classic films as "Singin’ in the Rain," "Annie," "Beauty and the Beast," "My Fair Lady," "The Little Mermaid," "Mary Poppins," "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," "Aladdin," "High School Musical," and "Grease."
The Showcase is an exciting night when every Middle School student has the chance to experience being on stage in front of an audience and to just have fun with it. From their energetic performances and the smiles on their faces, there was no doubt that it was a night everyone enjoyed.
Before the Showcase, families had time to explore the Middle School Art Show in the gallery of The Walker Center for the Arts to view all the amazing student artwork and projects. Students shared their Rube Goldberg machines, and one exciting eighth- grade science demonstration drew quite a crowd of mesmerized spectators.
Great work by all our Middle School students and faculty! Many thanks to the incredible support from our Harvey Middle School families.
