Harvey US Robotics Takes Top Prizes

The Harvey RoboCavs had a great tournament Saturday, Feb. 2, winning three top awards at the VEX Robotics competition held at Freeport High School on Long Island.

Juniors Mike Martirano and Grant Doherty, team 6277B, won the tournament and also brought home the Amaze Award - presented to the team that has built an amazing, high-scoring robot that clearly demonstrates overall quality.

Team 6277C, senior Coraline Chu, junior Lucas Cohen, and freshman Wendy Lichtenberg were awarded the Excellence Award - the highest award presented in VEX Robotics Tournaments. It is given to the team that exemplifies overall excellence in creating a high-quality VEX robotics program.

We are always amazed by the work coming out of the Harvey robotics lab!  We are looking forward to hosting a VEX Robotics Tournament on our campus Saturday, Feb. 16.
