The Harvey School community believes that the dress code supports the educational environment. Dress should be appropriate for a school setting, more formal and conservative than what is appropriate attire at home, the gym, a party, or a sports event. The school dress code is outlined in the Harvey School August Summer Mailing.
Middle School Supply List (Grades 6-8)
The following list is for all Middle School students (grade levels 6-8). In an effort to help students with organization, students will be encouraged to use one binder for their humanities classes and an additional binder for their science and math classes. All students will receive a planner on the first day of classes. Students may be asked by individual teachers to acquire additional items after school begins. Students may bring laptops and tablets to school to use in class but are not required to do so. Please contact Dr. Byrne with any questions at email@example.com.

For most grades, students are required to read two books – a required novel and a book of their choice. However, please refer to the reading list in the June Summer Mailing for specific grade and course reading assignments. As each English class will begin the school year with assignments based on these works, students will need to have a fresh and thorough knowledge of their texts, as well as copies of the books.
6th Grade – Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick
7th Grade – Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson
8th Grade – A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
Specific reading and writing assignments were sent as part of the June Summer Mailing.
