International Student Program
A globally-minded curriculum and community are essential to graduating students who will succeed in the 21st century. The Harvey School recognizes that students will better understand the world when they are able to experience countries and cultures beyond our borders firsthand. Each year, students have opportunities to participate in experiential and immersive trips abroad. In more recent years, these trips have allowed Harvey students to travel to Japan and Costa Rica, enhancing their foreign language skills, volunteer experiences and cultural awareness.
Harvey also welcomes international students into its full-year academic program. Harvey welcomed its first cohort of international students in the fall of 2013.
We are currently searching for qualified families to host our international students this school year!
Becoming a host family is a highly rewarding experience. Families provide much more than a roof and meals. Host families share their routines and daily lives and have a new family member. It is an excellent opportunity to stay at home while experiencing a totally different culture. You will also likely be surprised by how much you learn about your own community through the experience of hosting an international student.
A stipend is provided. Referrals to qualified host families will also be rewarded!
