Harvey School senior Musa Ibrahim has been selected as a recipient of the 2017 NHL/Thurgood Marshall College Fund academic scholarship.
Ibrahim, a Bronx resident who competed in the Ice Hockey in Harlem program for nine years and played hockey for Harvey for the past two years, is one of four NY metropolitan area recipients selected for the scholarship. The news of Ibrahim’s selection was posted in an article this week on NHL.com.
The NHL/Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholarship is awarded to qualified students who plan to earn a baccalaureate, graduate or law degree from an accredited college or university. Ibrahim hopes to attend Temple University in the fall to major in film studies.
