Learning

The Harvey School offers a traditional curriculum in a structured environment to students of varied interests and abilities. The curriculum is enhanced by exposure to – and appreciation of – diverse points of view and activities. The sharing and exhange of ideas instills and nurtures the values of self-respect and self-reliance as well as the ability to work with others.

Harvey’s students are encouraged to become leaders by utilizing the many opportunities available to them on a daily basis in an environment which supports risk-taking, shared responsibility and encourages student-faculty interaction.

Harvey seeks students whose goal is to succeed in school. Our students are prepared for entrance into college or university and are assisted by an uncommonly strong college counseling program.

Harvey’s student body is diverse and contains a wide range of academic backgrounds and abilities.

Harvey offers classes ranging from basic skills levels to honors classes and Advanced Placement. Harvey’s Krasne Project integrates the most current computer technology, thereby providing the skills and resources needed to excel in today’s classrooms.

The Harvey School is fully accredited by, and is a member of, the New York State Association of Independent Schools. Harvey is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and the Educational Records Bureau.
