“Since I do have an older sister, it’s easy to hide in her shadow, but here I really get to explore my interests and try new things. At Harvey you really get to find your own place.”

7th Grade – Activities: Soccer, Theater, Dance

I came to Harvey in 2010 for 6th grade. My sister, Charlotte, was here and is currently in 10th grade.

Harvey has definitely helped me become a better student. Each day here is a new experience. There are so many opportunities to grow closer to the teachers and your peers. Since Harvey is a small school, you really get to know the other students well, and connect with them not only in class but also during after-school activities. You are able to trust the people here and you really feel like Harvey is part of your family.

Latin is my favorite class. It is so much fun. Not only do I learn the language, I also learn about the culture and history of the Romans. I have classes that really go into depth and like being challenged.

Since I do have an older sister, it’s easy to hide in her shadow, but here I really get to explore my interests and try new things. At Harvey you really get to find your own place. There are a variety of activities that you can do here that are not available in other schools. Last year, I participated in soccer in the fall and theatre during the winter and spring. This year I was asked to join dance even though middle schoolers don’t usually participate in dance.

I like Harvey because of the campus and how you feel a connection to the outdoors. It’s nice to walk outside with your friends from class to class.

During lunch I love to hang out with my friends. Sometimes, we have advisor lunches where we eat with our advisors and discuss how everything is going.
