“I like the freedom that theater gives me to be myself.”

My favorite classes are theater and study hall. I like the freedom that theater gives me to be myself. Study hall is helpful in order for me to get a lot of my work done.

Harvey helped me become a better student by using easier learning strategies and having smaller classes. I have become more independent. Harvey helps students find their own place by offering many after-school activities for students to choose from.

Coming to Harvey every day feels like an extension of my family because everyone makes me feel welcome and it is a safe environment. Both the teachers and students are so nice. It is a real community. I love to socialize with my friends during lunch.

Two things I like best about Harvey are the activities and the community. I really love Visual Journaling because it involves writing, poetry and pictures that are produced around a theme. It gives me another way to be myself.
